Lockdown in Durban for 21 days
Durban beaches are closed as of this morning due to the COVID-19 lockdown. The lockdown has been ordered by the government for 21 days, but may be extended as necessary.
According to the regulations of the government, everyone who is not in an essential business function is to be quarantined at home. Taking a walk in your neighborhood, going to the beach or exercising are not be permitted. As a result, surfing is not permitted either.
